During the Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Demo, Andre and Pete discus the name of their urban legend / ghost chasing show, which has the title of "Sewer Gators". This is clearly paying homage to the alligator in the sewer of Resident Evil 2, along with the fact that one of the most common urban legends is Alligators living in the sewer (which is why RE2 did it).
